Hong Kong Island Events - November 2026
November is full: a City Hall recital, three Happy Wednesday race nights at Happy Valley, an open-air orchestra on the Central harbourfront, the Arts in the Park weekend in Victoria Park, PMQ's design festival and a four-day literary festival in Admiralty. Seven dated entries below, every one of them on Hong Kong Island, with the date, the venue, what it costs and why it earns your evening. Dates, venues and prices were last checked on 8 November 2026 against the organiser's own page and a second independent publisher.
Part of the Hong Kong Island Events Calendar 2026, which also carries the year's season-long runs - WinterFest, the Gourmet Month, the Brands and Products Expo and the AIA Carnival. Next month: Hong Kong Island events in December 2026.

HKGNA Music Festival 2026 - Jasmine Choi with HKGNA Young Virtuosi and Andrew Ling
Monday 9 November 2026, 19:30 · Concert Hall, Hong Kong City Hall, 5 Edinburgh Place, Central
Entry: HK$420 / HK$320 / HK$120.
Why go: The festival's Virtuoso Series night: flautist Jasmine Choi with the HKGNA Young Virtuosi and Andrew Ling, in the City Hall concert hall five minutes from Central MTR. A single-ticket classical evening you can build a night around, and the festival runs to 19 November if you want a second date.
Verified against the HKGNA festival page (date, time, hall and the three ticket prices) and Cathay Pacific's November Hong Kong guide, which names the 9 November concert.

Happy Wednesday - Music & Dine Festival race nights
Wednesdays 11, 18 and 25 November 2026, from 6pm · Happy Valley Racecourse, Wong Nai Chung Road, Happy Valley
Entry: HK$10 for the public enclosure; free for visitors on a valid travel document.
Why go: Hard to beat for value: HK$10 buys a floodlit race card, live music and food stalls in the middle of the city, and with a passport you walk in free. The 1 and 4 November meetings have already been run, so these are the three that are left.
Verified against the Hong Kong Jockey Club Happy Wednesday schedule (11, 18 and 25 November) and the Hong Kong Tourism Board event page, which gives the same three nights, the 6pm gate and the HK$10 enclosure.

Swire Symphony Under the Stars
Friday 13 November 2026, 19:30, running about two hours with an interval · Central Harbourfront, Central
Entry: Free, by pre-registration - the ballot closed on 20 October 2026.
Why go: Tarmo Peltokoski conducts the Hong Kong Philharmonic outdoors on the harbourfront: Gershwin, Saint-Saens's Carnival of the Animals and the 1812 Overture. The 1812 is the one that brings the fireworks, though the orchestra publishes no clock time for them - so arrive for the music, not for a countdown.
Verified against the Hong Kong Philharmonic concert page (13 November, 19:30, running time, free by ballot, ballot window) and Cathay Pacific's November guide, which names the venue and the programme.

Standard Chartered Arts in the Park 2026
Saturday 14 - Sunday 15 November 2026, 10:00-17:00 · Victoria Park, Causeway Bay
Night Parade: Saturday 14 November, 20:30-22:00, from the main entrance of Lee Garden One via Yun Ping Road, Pak Sha Road, Lee Garden Road and Kai Chiu Road to Hysan Place and back
Grand Finale: Sunday 15 November, 14:30-16:00, from Victoria Park along Great George Street, past Sogo, to East Point Road and back
Why go: The one weekend of the year when Causeway Bay is the venue rather than the shopping district. It returns to the park at full scale this year: five illuminated giant puppets on the Saturday night parade, and ten four-metre-tall puppets in Sunday's finale - both routes are street-side, so the parades cost nothing to watch wherever you stand.
Verified against the organiser's page for the 14-15 November park programme and etnet's full timetable for the park hours, both parade routes and the puppet counts. The organiser's page prints no venue string, so it does not confirm "Central Lawn" - the venue here is Victoria Park as etnet prints it.

deTour 2026 design festival - BETTER, NOT PERFECT: Prototypes for Tomorrow
Friday 20 - Sunday 29 November 2026; 11:00-15:00 on 20 November, 11:00-20:00 from 21 to 29 November · Courtyard and Marketplace, G/F, PMQ, 35 Aberdeen Street
Entry: Free.
Why go: Ten days of design in the PMQ courtyard: three zones, fourteen works, a pop-up shop and a programme curated by Shin Wong, all on a theme about shipping the imperfect thing rather than the imaginary perfect one. Free, central and indoors enough to survive a wet November afternoon.
Verified against the organiser's event page (dates, the split opening hours, the venue, the theme and the free admission) and openholidays.hk, which gives the same window, venue and hours.

Hong Kong Squash Open 2026
Monday 30 November - Sunday 6 December 2026 · Edinburgh Place, Central (3-6 December); HK Squash Centre, Cotton Tree Drive, and Hong Kong Football Club for the preliminary rounds
Why go: A PSA World Tour event that ends up playing in the open air at Edinburgh Place, with the harbourfront behind the glass court - and the qualifying rounds a short walk away at Cotton Tree Drive. It starts on the last day of November, so it appears here and not on the December page; the closing days are covered by the December entry.
Verified against the organiser's seating plan (headed 3-6.12.2026, Edinburgh Place) and the Hong Kong Tourism Board event page, which gives 30 November to 6 December and names all three venues. No ticket prices or session times are published, and the tour tier is printed as "PSA World Tour" - HKTB's wording.

Running through November
Two longer fixtures overlap this month. They are listed once, in full, on the runs and seasons section of the 2026 hub, and are not repeated as dated rows here:
- Hong Kong Gourmet Month 2026 - 29 October to 30 November 2026 (33 days). Its last day falls inside this month, which is why it is named here and not on the December page.
- Hong Kong WinterFest 2026/27 - the tourism board gives the window as November 2026 to early January 2027 for the Christmas Town, the 20-metre tree and the Central light show. No exact dates are published, so nothing here is dated to a day.
Take the dates with you
This page and the November 2026 calendar feed (.ics) are two views of the same seven entries - subscribe once and the dates land in Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook. Planning around an event? Central and the business district covers the venues above, and how to get around covers the buses and the MTR.
Next month: Hong Kong Island events in December 2026 - Clockenflap, the International Jockeys' Championship, the December race nights and the New Year countdown.
