Hong Kong Island Events Calendar 2026
Everything on this page happens on Hong Kong Island - Central, Wan Chai, Causeway Bay, Happy Valley, Aberdeen, Stanley, The Peak or Pok Fu Lam. This is a listings guide, not a table of public holidays: each entry carries the date, the venue, what it costs and why it is worth your evening. Dates, venues and prices were last checked on 27 October 2026 against the organiser, the tourism board or the government listing, and cross-checked against a second independent source. Anything that has been announced but not yet confirmed is grouped near the foot of the page, so it never reads as a firm date.

November 2026
Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival 2026
29 October to 1 November 2026 · Central Harbourfront Event Space and Tamar Park, Central
Entry: HK$40 on the door, HK$20 concession. A Tasting Pass at HK$258 or a Grand Wine Pass at HK$558 includes entry; food and drink tokens are HK$25 each.
Why go: the closing day is your last chance this year to eat and drink along the harbourfront with Victoria Harbour behind you, and the tasting passes let you work through dozens of pours without committing to a bottle.
Verified against the Hong Kong Tourism Board event page and an
independent listing. Note: at least one third-party Hong Kong events page prints a 5 November start -
the organiser and the tourism board both say the festival closes on 1 November.

Why go: the best-value Christmas market on the island and the only one where you shop with a sea view. Pair it with a walk along Stanley Promenade - our Stanley Market guide covers the stalls, the buses and the timing.
Two listings agree the market runs 18 to 27 December and that it
opens Thursdays to Sundays; they differ on whether 21 to 23 December are open days. Treat the Thursday

Public holidays: Christmas Day falls on Friday 25 December 2026, with the first weekday after Christmas on Saturday 26 December 2026.
The calendar rolls straight over into January 2027, where the Hong Kong Marathon finishes in Causeway Bay and the Lunar New Year fair opens in Victoria Park.
Announced, but not yet confirmed
These are not confirmed dates. Do not plan around them yet. Every year the island's Christmas and New Year fixtures are announced late. Here is what is known, and what is still open.
New Year's Eve countdown, Central - 31 December 2026. The 2025/26 edition was a countdown on the Chater Road pedestrian precinct (about 11.28pm to 12.10am) with no harbour fireworks. The 2026/27 format, venue and line-up have not been announced, so treat a Central countdown as expected rather than confirmed.
WinterFest / Winter Wonderland in Central. The Statue Square Christmas Town, the large Christmas tree and the Central building light show ran from 14 November 2025 to 4 January 2026. The 2026/27 dates have not been published; expect a mid-November start.
Fine Art Asia 2026. Trade directories list 26 to 29 November at the HKCEC, but the fair's own website shows 3 to 6 October 2026. The two disagree, so it is not listed above until the organiser confirms.
Not listed, single source only: the Victoria Harbour Race open-water swim (15 November 2026), the Cyberport Love Relay Charity Run and Carnival in Pok Fu Lam (8 November 2026), the Cathay Camera Club annual exhibition at the Hong Kong Arts Centre (20 to 22 November 2026), and the "Reframing North Korea" exhibition at the Hong Kong Arts Centre (22 October to 18 November 2026). Each has one listing and no organiser confirmation yet.
Ballet performances inside Anne Imhof: House of Swans (1, 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, 22, 28 and 29 November, 2.30pm and 3.45pm) come from a single listing; the individual dates are not printed until Tai Kwun confirms them.
